Fancy Diamonds - Yellow, Pink, and Blue

Fancy coloured diamonds are extremely rare and only constitute for less than 1% of the quantity of rough diamonds manufactured globally, which means that for every natural coloured diamond there are 10,000 colourless ones. Popular colours include yellow, pink and blue. It is a combination of the presence of impurities with natural radiation and pressure in the earth's surface that cause the colour.

Fancy coloured diamonds are valued for the intensity of their colour and are graded in order of increasing intensity from faint, very light, light, fancy light, fancy, fancy intense, fancy vivid, fancy dark and fancy deep - the richest and most valuable. Each fancy diamond is cut to best emphasise the stone's unique colour. The finest fancy diamonds are sourced from Western Australia.
